Parents in the Zone

It is said that families are the building blocks of society. And that tomorrow’s world changers are the children sitting at our dinner table today. That places a huge responsibility on parents.

As a church, we believe that the family is God’s design and that parents are the primary vehicle for passing along faith for generations. Our mission in Family and Children’s Ministries is to come along side parents and hold you up as you take on one of the most challenging (but rewarding) jobs God will ever ask of you. We want to partner with you as you teach and disciple your children in their spiritual walk. We want to see families transformed by God and help in building strong, growing Christ-centered families.

We strive to reflect these values in our programing. Check them out. Let us know if we are hitting the mark!

Kids Venture – Kingdom Seekers

September 2010 – June 2011

o Communication with parents is key to helping you, as parents join in the discipleship that is happening on Sunday in our Kids Venture. We are excited about all the great biblical lessons and stories we have the privilege of sharing with your children. We would like you to be able to continue the discipleship process with your children at home all week. The focus of the lesson, a memory verse, the key idea and a question will be supplied weekly for you to use in everyday life with your children. Read the passage with your kids aloud or work at memorizing the verse. Write the seeker question on a board orpiece of paper and encourage your children to respond, use it as a conversation starter to aid in teaching your children about what it
means to be a disciple of Christ.

o We encourage you to participate in the learning your child is experiencing every Sunday morning. Don’t miss out on the
opportunity to intentionally engage with your children in growing and learning as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

o These Kingdom Seeker prompts will be updated weekly. So be sure to check back Monday mornings for the new information.
