Serving Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in serving. As growing disciples of Christ we are growing in our love for God, growing in our love for one another and growing in our service to the world. The church is not about being served, it is about serving. Jesus Christ is our example. He told his disciples, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)

The first step towards discovering your calling is to discern how He has designed you (i.e. your strengths and passions). Once you know your unique God-given design, you can then discover the difference He planned for you to make with your life.

To help you accomplish these steps, we have partnered with Serving Central Ministries so you can assess your God-given strengths and passions online and start expressing them in ministry here.

To take advantage of this great tool:

· 1. Go to www.servingcentral.com


· 2. Click on ‘Church Member’ button and follow instructions.

Detailed Instructions:
1. On the second screen you will see various options to choose from down the left hand side of the page.
     – a. Ministry Assessment – this will help you assess your God-given strengths and passions.
     – b. Ministry Matcher – this will show you the ministries within our church that best align with your strengths and passions.
     – c. Ministry Explorer – this will allow you to search for various ministries within our church.
     – d. Ministry Starter – this will help you share your new ministry idea with the church leadership.
     – e. Ministry Coaching – this will allow you to sign up for one-on-one help so you can get placed into ministry.
2. First time user – you will need to create an account.
3. Begin by clicking on any one of the options on the left hand side ( Ministry Assessment, Ministry Matcher, etc.).
4. Be sure to select ‘Evangelical Free Church – Lethbridge’ from the Home Church drop-down menu.
5. Search and sign up for ministries in our church.
6. If you are taking the assessment for the first time, you will need to enter the church assessment code – ‘evfree’.
7. Navigating the assessment – each section has been broken down into pages. You can go back, but you cannot proceed to the next page until the current page is complete.
8. Returning members – login to complete the assessment or to view results by entering the email and password you chose when you signed up.
     – a. Accessing your account information – you can update your account information by using the tab – ‘My Info’
     – b. Viewing the results – if your assessment is complete, you can click on ‘My Profiles’ to view your profile.
     – c. Sign up for coaching – you can use the ‘Ministry Coaching’ tab to sign up for a coaching session with someone in leadership. Again, you will need to select ‘Evangelical Free Church – Lethbridge’ in the drop down menu.
     – d. Start a new ministry – you can use the ‘Ministry Starter’ tab to share you ministry idea with the church leadership.
